TLILIC2001- Licence to operate a forklift truck

Course Overview

This course is designed to provide candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift.  A forklift is a powered industrial truck consisting of a mast and fork arms or types that can be raised above the ground by in excess of 900mm but does not include a pedestrian operated forklift or pallet truck.

The course will arm you with the skills and knowledge to plan the work required according to task instructions to conduct pre-start and post start and routine checks of the forklift truck, transfer and move loads safely including uneven loads and loads at height and carry out shut down and post-operational checks.  Upon successful completion of the course, a Statement of Attainment will be issued which will enable candidates to apply for the high risk work licence (HRWL).

$600 per person (GST Free)

The total course fee must be paid at the time of enrolment and prior to commencement in training.

Delivery Location

All training is conducted at the Emerald Training Facility located at 11a Sandmere Road, Pinkenba QLD 4008.  However, we can work with clients to conduct the course at the clients site.  In order to do so, Emerald Training Services will conduct a safety inspection of the facilities and equipment prior to agreement to conduct and commencement of training.

Entry Requirements

While there are no specific entry requirements to complete this unit of competency, Work Health and Safety Queensland requires that:

  • Learners are able to read and write basic English
  • Be physically capable of working outdoors, on your feet for up to 6 hours
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Provide three forms of identification (including current photo ID)

Emerald Training Service also requires that all participants wear steel capped or safety boots on site, sun protection, hard hat, long sleeved shirt and long pants.

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC2001 Licence to operate a forklift truck.

HRWL Requirements

Applicants over 18 years old are only eligible to apply for a Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) Licence upon successful completion of the final theory, calculations and practical assessment.

When applying for a High Risk Work Licence from Work Health and Safety Queensland, applicants must comply with the Work Health and Safety Queensland Evidence of Identity criteria.

RPL
