TLILIC4009 – Operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes)
This course is designed to provide candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge required to operate a slewing mobile crane – up to 60 tonnes for licencing purposes. A slewing mobile crane is defined as a mobile crane incorporating a boom jib, which is capable of being slewed. This excludes front-end loader, backhoe, excavator, or like equipment when configured for crane operation.
The course will arm you with the skills and knowledge to plan the work required according to task instructions to conduct pre-start and post start checks of the crane, set up the crane, transfer and move loads and carry out shut down and post-operational checks. Upon successful completion of the course, a Statement of Attainment will be issued which will enable candidates to apply for the high risk work licence (HRWL).
In accordance with Work Health and Safety Queensland licencing requirements, the C6 licence encompasses the CV, CN and C2 certificates.
5 days face to face at our Training Facility or on the client’s site.
$1,800 per person (GST Free)
$1,000 non-refundable deposit required at the time of enrolment and prior to commencement in training.
$800 balance will be invoiced upon completion and must be paid before Emerald Training Services will issue your Statement of Attainment.

All training is conducted at Emerald Training Facility located at 11a Sandmere Road, Pinkenba QLD 4008. However, we can work with clients to conduct the course at the clients site. In order to do so, Emerald Training Services will conduct a safety inspection of the facilities and equipment prior to agreement to conduct and commencement of training.
While there are no specific entry requirements to complete this unit of competency, Work Health and Safety Queensland requires that:
• Learners are able to read and write basic English
• Be physically capable of working outdoors, on your feet for up to 6 hours
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Provide three forms of identification (including current photo ID)
Emerald Training Service also requires that all participants wear steel capped or safety boots on site, sun protection, hard hat, long sleeved shirt and long pants.
Upon successful completion, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC4009 Operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes).
Applicants over 18 years old are only eligible to apply for a Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) Licence upon successful completion of the final theory, calculations and practical assessment.
When applying for a High Risk Work Licence from Work Health and Safety Queensland, applicants must comply with the Work Health and Safety Queensland Evidence of Identity criteria.
